The Delta Cabin is within a half mile of Delta Junction. Directly across the highway from the cabin is the Delta River. This allows for some spectacular views of the Alaska Range and beyond. On a clear day one of the tallest mountains of the Alaska Range, Mt. Hayes with an elevation of 13,832 feet, can be viewed from the park. Because of their elevation, Mt. Hayes and five other mountains visible from the park remain snow covered year-round.

Cabin furnishings include plywood sleeping platforms, a kitchen counter, shelves, table and benches, wood stove, and fire extinguisher. Firewood is not provided and can be hard to find at some so bring firewood. For water, renters need to melt snow in the winter. Please help keep it neat and attractive for those who will use it after your visit.

Location:
Delta Cabin is located near the entrance to Delta State Recreation Site a half mile north of Delta Junction, mile 267 Richardson Highway.

Latitude 64.3'12.24"N, Longitude 145.44'9.14"W

Special Notes:
* The park road is not plowed in the winter. A highway pull-off within 100 feet of the cabin is plowed. The combination to the lock on the door is provided when the cabin is rented.

** Pets must be under control at all times and you are responsible for cleaning up your pet's waste.

Pack out everything you pack in.
